ValueOptions today announced that it has named Nancy Lane, PhD, as the chief operating officer for its public sector programs. In this position, Dr. Lane will be responsible for the oversight and direction of all administrative, medical, clinical and quality initiatives, as well as nation wide service center operational oversight and support.

Dr. Lane has served ValueOptions in executive roles at its Massachusetts Behavioral Health Partnership (MBHP) since joining the company in 1997. "Under Dr. Lane's leadership, MBHP has set the performance standard for public sector managed behavioral health care," said Richard Sheola, president of ValueOptions Public Sector Division. "We are very excited that she will be capitalizing on that experience and expertise to ensure the consistent application of behavioral health best practices in all of our public sector programs across the country."

Prior to joining ValueOptions, Dr. Lane held a number of management positions with several managed behavioral care organizations and has also worked as a clinician in the industry.
