Upon full completion of the " Enter an Authorization Request " process, you will receive a screen noting the pended or approved status of your request. Receipt of this screen is notification that your request has been received by Carelon Behavioral Health.

Prepaid Health Plans (PHPs) under NC Medicaid Managed Care are Launching

Carelon Behavioral Health will be unable to accept Prior Authorization Requests submitted for members enrolled in a PHP for start dates on or after the PHP's launch date.
